The following shows some of the results that were obtained with the scenery compiler that I developed.
This commercial product added Flight Simulator scenery for Perth, the airport and the city plus Swan River, the hills, etc. The scenery was designed for Microsoft's flight simulator 5.1 and 95 around 1994/1995. The following are some screen shots taken later with Flight Simulator FS98, which was the last in the family that used this scenery format.
Please note that this is 1994/1995 quality. Since then technology has made tremendous progress and this would look much more realistic on today's computers with today's simulators. In 1994/1995 all rendering was done in software, no Z-buffering, no MIP-mapping, nothing fancy was available.
